Pilates (pronounced pee-lah-tayz) is a method of exercise and movement that is for everyone, regardless of age, sex, ability and any pre-existing injuries. Pilates instructors can be finickity about every single bit about your body even before you move – and there’s a good reason for that. We try to get the body to move without other parts of your body taking over and stealing the show.
At FitNut Loft we use the reformer, tower, chair and full mat apparatus. Springs on the equipment create the tension which can make an exercise easier or harder. Many clients feel better after a lesson because apart from having a pretty tough workout, there are so many exercises that stretch the body out.
