Pilates is great for women in peri menopause or menopause. During this phase, ovaries stop producing estrogen and progesterone. These changes in hormone levels can have an affect of increased weight, or difficulty in losing weight.
We work menopausal women harder and smarter, as we want to retrain the metabolism to burn fat. Increasing spring tension will build muscle. We work on coordination, endurance, flexibility and relaxation techniques which are often overlooked.
